Good vision is not merely having 20/20 eyesight, nor the absence of eye disease. It is a dynamic state of balance and harmony fostered by our ability to identify, interpret, comprehend and act on what our eyes see. Good vision allows us to fully experience life and to be our most creative self. We can make choices toward good vision if we are accurately aware of our present visual state, have a clear understanding of our desired visual state, and have the information and tools to move from one state to the other.
As an Optometrist, I view my role as a guide and teacher. I guide you in your choices of therapy, visual correction, and lifestyle habits. I teach you by giving you information and directing you on how to maximize your visual performance.
To each doctor-patient relationship I bring more than 20 years of optometric training and practice, as well as a listening ear, an open but discerning mind, and information about a broad scope of treatment and enhancement options. My areas of interest include all forms of treatment for optical, visual efficiency, and visual perception problems. I have a good background in nutrition, sports, and personal performance. Because I feel our future is in our children I have a special interest in trying to help children who have vision related learning problems.
Until an athlete understands his vision, he is not fully ready to be coached. I have studied and developed special techniques to enhance the vision, visual-motor performance, and visual mental aspects of the weekend, collegiate, and professional athlete.
My commitment is to give you the most excellent service I can, so that we can both feel good about what we have given and received. I welcome your suggestions and comments.
